The Algarve Ukulele Band will be playing at the Vale Silves Social Community Centre, Boliqueime, on March 5 at 7.30pm.
The venue has a room capacity of 500 and the band hope to sell all 500 tickets in order to raise as much money as possible for the local community. The 10-metre stage will be just about big enough for the 20-strong band.
Howard Scott Parkin, the musical director, said: “It is difficult now to find venues that can cater for our band and we are excited to have the opportunity to perform in a venue big enough to hold us and our loyal supporters who continue to follow us wherever we go.”
Tickets cost €10 each and are available at the Vale Silves Community Centre or from the Strings & Thing Music Shop in Almancil (919 968 768).
