The UK’s Daily Express newspaper is the latest international publication to give the Algarve rave reviews, describing it as “the Portuguese paradise that will make your dream holiday a reality”.
“Despite its undeniable popularity, Portugal’s southernmost region is also its most beautiful and somehow parts of it still feel unspoilt. There’s always a secret spot to discover,” says travel writer, Sian Meades.
Even though the region is already one of Europe’s most popular with overseas visitors, Meades says it still “feels a world away from the hubbub of holidaymakers.”
“Thanks to the natural west coast it’s still impressively easy to get away from it all, even when all of the bars, restaurants and activities are still right on your door,” she says, adding: “It is the gorgeous backdrop that really makes the Algarve special. The whitewashed cliffs and sandy coves are everything you’d expect from a postcard.”
