UK-based gospel choir Callington Singers is making a short visit to the Algarve on October 10 in support of cancer care in the region.
Under the direction of musical director Graham Williams, the choir will be performing at the Cine Teatro de São Brás de Alportel as part of the local Rotary Clubs’ project to raise over €400,000 to provide the Algarve Oncology Association with a modern mobile breast screening unit.
In addition to the choir, a solo presentation by the multi-talented instrumentalist and musical director Howard Scott Parkin will take place. Howard will also lead the Algarve Ukulele Band.
All income from this event will go to the Rotary Clubs’ AOA project.
