Lusa reports that the Ukraine embassy in Lisbon has received two suspect envelopes today. PSP police have been called. At 5pm they were still at the scene, with traffic blocked along Avenida das Descobertas (where various embassies are sited). A number of embassies and official entities in Europe have been receiving ‘suspicious packages’ over the last few days – at least one of them containing explosives which injured an embassy employee in Madrid. The packages are believed to be connected to the war in Ukraine. Since the first arrivals, other ‘blood stained’ packages have been identified in Spain, containing the eyes of animals.
