Ukraine’s state agency on energy efficiency and Portugal’s national directorate of energy and geology have signed a memorandum of understanding on energy efficiency, renewable energy and alternative fuels following the visit to this country last Monday of Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko.
Said the Ukraine’s energy efficiency press service, the signing “initiates a close and effective cooperation between Ukraine and Portugal which has great achievements in the development of clean energy”.
The plan is for the two countries to “exchange the best practices in the development of renewable energy and energy efficiency, as well as work on the implementation of joint projects”.
Also signed during the official visit were memoranda of understanding on other areas, including the chemical industry, infrastructures, transport, the environment and tourism, writes Observador.
