Europe’s football governing body, UEFA, has praised the facilities and organisation at Vila Real de Santo António following its development tournament held there last week. The Portuguese U16 team emerged victorious following three straight wins over Scotland, Austria and Holland in the boys’ competition, while the first ever national girls’ U16 side drew with their Scottish counterparts before recording its debut win over Austria.
