Ana Fernandes, a researcher at the University of the Algarve (UAlg), has been awarded a prize for her work by the Portuguese Society of Human Genetics (SPGH).
The distinction awards a paper by Fernandes that focused on the role that genetics play in breast cancer.
As she points out: “Receiving this award is not only an acknowledgment of the work done during the last year but also of the quality of research carried out at the University’s Biomedicine Research Centre.”
