The only vaccine available in Portugal against typhoid fever has been withdrawn from the market due to issues relating to the antigen content. Sanofi Pasteur, the French manufacturer, believes some vaccines may contain lower than specified levels of the antigen, which might affect the efficacy of the vaccine. Re-introduction of the typhoid vaccine is expected soon.
