Two young men die in separate stabbings in Lisbon and Montijo

PJ police are investigating two murders that took place over the weekend – one in Lisbon, the other in Montijo. Both involved knives. The first was called in in the early hours of Saturday morning, when the body of a man in his 30s-40s was found with his throat slit in Lisbon’s Rua do Bemformoso. Police have identified a suspect. The second appears to have happened at roughly in the same time, in Rua Cidade de Ponta Delgada, near the municipal swimming pools of Montijo, where a 21-year-old died following repeated stab wounds to the chest. For now, there are no suspects. PJ police are investigating. The family is said to suspect a “settling of scores”.
