Around two tonnes of hashish were seized by authorities during a major drug bust off the coast of the Algarve last week.
The operation was carried out by PJ police, the Portuguese Air Force, the Portuguese Navy and the National Maritime Authority.
Reports Correio da Manhã tabloid, two maritime police officers were injured when confronting the three Moroccan men who were aboard the boat. The men were arrested.
