Guilherme Oliveira and Miguel Ramos join national favourite António Félix da Costa at this weekend’s World Endurance Championship event.
Two more Portuguese drivers have been confirmed for this weekend’s 6 Hours of Portimão at the Algarve International Racetrack (AIA). The second round of the World Endurance Championship (WEC), taking place between April 14 and 16, will see Guilherme Oliveira and Miguel Ramos race alongside the national favourite, António Félix da Costa.
The Portuguese duo will race in the GTE-Am category for the PROJECT 1- AO team in a Porsche 911 RSR. Italian racing driver Matteo Cairoli will be Guilherme Oliveira and Miguel Ramos’ teammate.
Three Portuguese drivers will therefore participate in the long-awaited 6 Hours of Portimão. 18-year-old Guilherme Oliveira, who will debut in the GT’s, and experienced driver Miguel Ramos thus join António Félix da Costa, who will race for JOTA in the LMP2 category.
Tickets are still available, with a single-day ticket costing €20 while weekend ticket prices range from €25 to €150. Admission is free for under 11s, with a 50% discount for children aged 11 to 14.
