Two football tournaments featuring some English and local clubs are scheduled for the next two weeks in the Algarve, giving fans a chance to enjoy some live matches free of charge.
The first is a women’s tournament entitled ‘Albufeira Women’s Cup’ which will see three teams – one from London (Old Actonians FC) and two local (Guia FC and Castrense FC) – facing off on June 8, starting at 4pm at Estádio Arsénio Catuna in Guia.
Then, between June 12 and 14, the ‘Summer U19’s Cup’ will kick off, featuring the under 19 male teams of two Albufeira sides (Imortal and Ferreiras) and two English clubs (Gillingham FC and Wealdstone FC).
The matches, which will begin at 6pm and 8pm on the three days, will be played at Estádio Nora in Ferreiras and Estádio Municipal de Albufeira.
