Two accidents on Algarve’s A22 motorway

Injured truck driver taken to hospital

Two accidents took place in the early rainy hours of this Friday morning on the A22 motorway, affecting traffic for several hours.

The first happened at around 5.40am when a truck skidded and overturned near the motorway’s Faro exit, reports Correio da Manhã. The 57-year-old driver was injured and taken to Faro Hospital. The exit was cut off while authorities used a crane to remove the truck from the road.

Another truck was also involved in an accident shortly after 8am, this time between Tavira and Faro. No injuries were reported.
