Reader Peter Cain sent in this photograph of a car being pulled out of
the harbour near to the fishing dock in Lagos on August 4.
Peter Cain said: “I was sailing up the channel when I took this
picture. A Portuguese man had parked his Renault Twingo along the harbour and had forgotten to put the handbrake on when he left the vehicle, the result being that the car rolled into the Lagos channel.”
Staff from the Sopramar boatyard were able to recover the vehicle using one of the cranes.
