A TENDER was opened on Friday by the Portuguese government for a licence to set up and operate a 24 hour freeview national television channel in digital format.
Details of the tender were published on the official government notices website, Diàrio de República and proposals from interested parties will be accepted for the next 40 days.
Portuguese media companies Zon, Cofina and Controlonveste have all previously expressed interest in the tender.
