Operation Tutti Frutti – potentially another case to embarrass Portugal’s leading political parties – has been ‘bandied about’ in the press for years, with nothing significant moving forwards. This week, Attorney General Lucília Gago has finally assembled a ‘special team’ to get to grips with this investigation that seemingly involves PS and PSD council officials, parliamentary and even government figures. The team will be made up of five magistrates attached to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, to work solely on Tutti Frutti “until the conclusion of the investigation”, stress reports.
