Non-surgical anti-wrinkle special

AS TIME passes, our skin shows the natural, inevitable signs of ageing: wrinkles, sagging and sun damage. However, you can counteract those effects with several non-surgical cosmetic procedures available at our practice, including Botox and injectible fillers, such as hyaluronic acid and collagen. These can help to smooth lines and wrinkles and raise sunken areas. Chemical peels reduce blemishes and scarring to produce fresh, glowing skin.

Botox treatments are the fastest-growing cosmetic procedures in the country. Inactivation of the dynamic muscles of the face is a procedure used to improve the appearance of worry lines or frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead wrinkles.

To inactivate frown lines, botulinum toxin (Botox) is injected into these muscles. Botox works by temporarily weakening the tiny facial muscles in a very precise manner. After treatment, the overlying skin remains smooth and unwrinkled while treated facial muscles contract normally, allowing normal facial expression to be unaffected.

A very small amount of Botox is injected with a very fine needle into several locations in the face, so that the associated pain is minimal. Inactivation of the frown lines is a simple and safe procedure and, because Botox is reversible, any side effects related to excessive weakness are temporary, only lasting days or weeks.

Furthermore, Botox has specific indications: raise the eyebrows (chemical brow lift); turn up corners of the mouth, perioral lines, neckbands and excessive sweating (hyperhydrosis).

Tissue fillers (hyaluronic acid, collagen, fat transfer)

Hyaluronic acid, collagen and fat are part of the natural support structure of the skin. These fillers may create a natural beauty lift with the body’s own material. With ageing and sun exposure, we lose volume and elasticity in our face.

These fillers replenish the skin’s collagen layer, smoothing lines, wrinkles and scars, and adding definition to lip borders from the inside out. You may be a candidate for fillers if you have wrinkles around your lips that you want to diminish. Fillers can also be used if you desire to have fuller or more defined lips, if you have deep nasolabial folds (the lines between the nose and the corner of your mouth). Treating wrinkles with fillers is fast and safe, and leaves no scars or other traces on the face.

If you choose hyaluronic acid, no precautionary skin test is needed, which means that you can have treatments immediately. Fillers give your skin natural volume to lift and produce new firmness, resulting in a healthy, vital appearance with the body’s own material.

Chemical peels

Chemical peeling is a technique used to improve the appearance of the skin, which is typically performed on the face, neck, or hands. In this treatment, a chemical solution is applied to the skin that causes it to eventually peel off. The new, regenerated skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin. The new skin is also temporarily more sensitive to the sun. Mild scarring and certain types of acne can also be treated with chemical peels.

The number of peels required for any given problem varies with each patient and is determined by the patient and doctor. There is no limit to the number of peels a person can receive, as long as improvement continues.

In addition, pigmentation of the skin in the form of sun spots, age spots, liver spots, freckles, splotching due to taking birth control pills, and skin that is dull in texture and colour, may be improved with chemical peeling. A large variety of peels exist and a choice is made according to the depth of peeling required (glycolic acid, TCA peels, Beta hydroxi acids and so on).

Laser skin resurfacing

Lasers make it possible to perform high precision, needle-free and often painless procedures to remove wrinkles and to improve the skin’s texture, age spots, sunspots, melasma acne scars and skin tone.

For example, the Fraxel Laser is a technology that can produce brilliant improvements to ageing and sun-damaged skin in a speedy healing process, with almost no downtime. If you are always on the go and don’t have time to waste on recovery, Fraxel Laser Treatment is perfect for you, because you are able to target certain areas and leave others untreated. The recovery time is minimal and, after the first treatment, you will see results. Your skin will become softer and smoother, fine lines on your face (or neck, arms, chest) will noticeably fade.

Mesotherapy is a painless injection of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, hyualuronic acids and amino acids placed just under the surface of the skin. Mesotherapy has a variety of applications including face and neck rejuvenation (Mesolift), body sculpting, cellulite reduction, weight loss and hair re-growth. Therefore, the injected solution is individually prepared, depending on its purpose.

Ageing, sagging and wrinkling of the skin occurs from accumulation of fat, loss of skin elasticity and excessive free radical damage. Using antioxidants, amino and hyualronic acids, Mesotherapy can remove fat from under the neck, remove free radical damage, and tighten loose skin. The effects rejuvenate the face, eyelids and neck without the unnatural appearance and painful recovery of surgical face lifting.

Furthermore, a contouring of the abdomen, arms, back, legs and hands can be obtained with Mesotherapy (body sculpting) to achieve a more youthful and athletic appearance.

The earlier you begin with these procedures, the more successful the results will be. A combination of these treatments, especially, offers you the best benefits with dramatic improvement.

Our clinic currently offers Botox treatments, different fillers (hyaluronic acid, collagen, fat transfer) and chemical peels; in the near future, we also hope to be able to offer Mesotherapy.
