After the recent cruise ship embarrassment, the Algarve will finally be receiving a permanent tugboat for its ports in March. José Pedro Soares, administrator of the new Sines and Algarve Ports Administration, confirmed the deal this week.
Local politicians have been pushing for a regional tugboat ever since over 400 cruise passengers were left stranded off the Algarve coast at the beginning of January.
