Trying hard

The Loulé Rugby Club emerged bloodied but victorious from their Second Division national championships first leg semi-final encounter with Famalicão. Playing away, the Algarveans came back from a nine-point deficit to trail only 7-9 at half-time, but were still trailing 17-14 with five minutes remaining on the clock. However, that scoreline was overturned with a storming two-try finish giving the Loulé pack a precious 21-17 advantage to carry over into the second leg which will kick off back at their home ground tomorrow (Saturday) at 3.30pm.
