Truckers union warns general strike France could affect goods coming into Portugal

With France in the grip of a general strike disrupting the movement of “practically everything”, Portugal’s truck drivers union ANTRAM has warned that imports by road “could be affected”. Antram spokesman André Matias de Almeida has told TSF radio today: “We are looking with some apprehension at (France’s) general strike which will affect various sectores, including ports”. Unions in France have called the strike over a new law on pension reform (raising retirement age, among the changes).
