A truck became immobilised earlier today as a sinkhole opened up in central Porto, right in a location that suffered from freak flooding earlier this month which has since been linked to underground works for the new Rosa line of the city’s Metro. The vehicle was left with most of its wheels in the air for some time (reports say it became a temporary tourist attraction). It has since been towed from the hole, while the potential danger posed now by these excavation works is starting to worry local residents.
