LISBON’S TROPICAL Garden is celebrating its centenary this year with a range of activities aimed at both adults and schoolchildren.
The celebrations include the inauguration of a photographic exhibition on life in Africa and the launch of a book linking the Portuguese Discoverers to horticulture, botany and plant collecting. There is also an exhibition about the garden’s history and the various tropical plants it boasts. The Tropical Garden is located in Largo dos Jerónimos, Belém, and is open from 10am to 5pm daily.
