Venezuelan police have arrested three men after the drive-by shooting of a 60-year-old Portuguese baker last week (July 21).
Manuel da Conceição Pinheiro was shot to death by three men on motorcycles as he was on his way to his Lamedor Dely bakery in Caracas early in the morning.
Twenty-year-old employee, Carlos Alfredo Briceño, is thought to have been the “mastermind” behind the plot, reports Lusa news agency.
He has been described as having “issues” with his former employer, who had been running his bakery for over 30 years.
Two other men, aged 22 and 23, have been arrested alongside Briceño.
Caracas police are reported to have confiscated the gun they believe killed the Portuguese émigré, along with a red Empire motorbike.
