GNR police arrested three men suspected of attacking and robbing elderly people in the municipalities of Faro and Loulé.
The arrests, which took place on Monday this week, followed a three-month investigation by the GNR. The men would prey on “vulnerable people living in isolated areas”. After initiating a conversation with their victims, the trio would attack them and enter their homes to steal items such gold jewellery which they would then sell for money.
