Trial of family accused of enslaving Angolan for 26 years finally moves forwards

The trial of a family accused of keeping an Angolan man enslaved for 26 years is due to start in October this year, three years since the man was rescued by the GNR following a tip-off. The 63-year-old has since died in an institution. The four people accused of his enslavement are also being sued for over €30,468 in compensation. The man worked without pay on an agricultural property.
