Trial begins of German accused of Azores’ double-murder

The bizarre case of a double murder in the Azores, ostensibly just because the accused did not want neighbours, has reached the point where chief suspect Tomislav Jozic, 61 is now on trial. Jozic is facing five charges of involving aggravated murder, the profaning of corpses, and possession of an illegal weapon; his wife, who is still living at the property where the murders took place, faces three lesser charges relating to the profaning of the victims’ corpses and detention of an illegal weapon.
