Students from the Algarve and Wales came together earlier this month as part of a joint initiative between the International School of the Algarve and Y Pant School, Cardiff.
The students from both schools are all studying for an A Level in Travel and Tourism, with the Welsh students using the Algarve as their European Destination with information gathered on the trip being put into coursework for the A Level.
As part of the trip, there was a tour of the Alvor Praia Hotel where management of the hotel showed the students the workings of a five star hotel and answered questions about the business.
Travel and tourism continues to be a popular choice for students at the International School of the Algarve allowing pupils to gain a recognised qualification for university entry or to move into a career in tourism in the region.
