AS FROM last week, First Class passengers onboard selected Lisbon-Porto train services operated by Comboios de Portugal (CP), can enjoy a range of complimentary new services including massage, hairstyling and make-up.
During their three-hour journey on the Alfa Pendular service leaving Lisbon at 5.55am and arriving in Porto at 9.05am, passengers can take advantage of a free hairdressing session on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, while on Tuesday and Thursdays, the hairdresser is replaced by a make-up artist. So now there really is no excuse for not looking good on arrival at the office!
Even better is what’s in store after a busy day – a relaxing massage on the way home. Specialists in the art of massage will be working on-board the evening train that leaves Porto every night at 9.15pm, from Monday to Friday, arriving in Lisbon at 12.15am.
These beauty services will be offered from special new facilities located at the top of the second comfort class carriage, in a compartment situated next to the bathrooms and the bar. The names given to these new compartments, managed by the Vida é Bela company, are Beauty Corner (hairdressing and make-up) and Zen Corner (massages).
Passengers travelling First Class will be given a free coupon for one of these services, while other travellers can pay to use the services, according to the published price list available onboard.
CP has decided to offer these innovations for a two-month trial period in order to first gauge their performance and popularity.
