A holiday tragedy has seen a British policeman fighting for his life in hospital in Lisbon, apparently paralysed from the waist down.
Luke Stanwick, 30, is understood to have broken his neck in “a horrendous accident” that the family, for now, is keeping under wraps. He is in an induced coma so that doctors can perform multiple surgeries while an appeal for funds to help his recovery has so far raised over €11,000.
The father-of-one is a PC with Sussex Police.
