Two women are still missing after the car they were in was swept up in racing flood waters during torrential rain on Friday. Civil Protection and other authorities have been out in force searching for the victims. The car was discovered upended and in a river some time after the tragedy. Personal items have since been recovered from a nearby beach. The women, employed by the Misericórdia church organisation, were employed as home-help staff.
