A 14-year-old handicapped boy has fallen to his death today (Thursday) from his family’s second-floor apartment in Queluz , Sintra.
According to Público, the accident happened at 10.30am when his mother and siblings were in the apartment but unaware that the child was on the balcony.
Described as having “cognitive and motor-function deficiencies”, the boy fell a distance of 12 metres and death was declared at the scene.
A PSP source has said the child’s body has been taken to the nearby office of legal medicine.
The tragedy comes just a couple of weeks since a four-year-old fell from an eighth floor apartment in nearby Loures (click here).
