The end of summer should mean less traffic on Algarve roads, right? Wrong! Getting to work now that kids are back at school is proving to be more tiresome than I thought.
Getting back home at the end of a long day, when all I want to do is put my feet up and relax while watching the crummiest show on TV, is equally as challenging.
If you’re unfortunate enough to have a school on your daily path and need to traverse it at its main opening and closing hours, expect to grind your way through arduous traffic.
Sleep-deprived parents, late-for-work nincompoops such as myself or the average Sunday-drivers on a Monday morning are bound to provide a challenge on your early-morning journey to get to your job. During these moments, however, one must not forget these wise words: Better safe than sorry.
