A 69-year-old English tourist was taken to hospital after falling from a clifftop at Ponta da Atalaia, Arrifana, in the district of Aljezur.
The victim was treated for grazes and cuts at the Hospital do Barlavento in Portimão and underwent exams to check for the possibility of further injuries.
Ponta da Atalaia is a spectacular sightseeing spot visited daily in summer by scores of foreign tourists.
