REVENUE AND numbers of tourists who arrived in Portugal in January show that the tourism industry is continuing to grow compared to 2007.
According to the national statistics institute, the total revenue recorded in January increased by 6.7 per cent to 90.8 million euros, while the number of visitors increased by 5.3 per cent to 684,200, compared to January 2007.
In 2007, tourism in Portugal generated a total of 7.4 billion euros and more than 12 million tourists were recorded.
