Portugal’s government is preparing a programme with the country’s tourism schools to welcome and guide digital nomads in the country, secretary of state for Tourism Rita Marques announced today. “We are preparing a programme in our tourism schools – and we have 12 spread across Portugal – and basically the idea is to help the decision of these digital nomads, informing them about the potential of the country, what is the best location to be able to settle,” she told this year’s edition of Web Summit. Government representatives have been using the four-day summit to extoll the virtues of living, investing and working in Portugal (no-one has mentioned issues with SEF yet…).
