Loulé Câmara was awarded the Turismo de Portugal prize by the Secretary of State for tourism, Bernardo Trindade, at the Bolsa de Turismo de Lisboa (BTL) fair on January 16.
Seruca Emídio, President of Loulé Câmara, was present to receive the prize which was awarded in recognition of the restoration of the municipal market and surrounding area. “This award is a great honour,” said Seruca Emídio. “It is a sign that tourism isn’t just sun and beaches and that there are more attractions away from the coast.”
