New campaign aims to attract tourists to Algarve with promise of easier travel experience
‘It’s easier now, book today” is the motto of a new promotional campaign launched by the Algarve Tourism Association (ATA) targeted at foreign tourists.
The goal is to show them that travelling to the Algarve is easier now that the arrival and departure procedures have been simplified after two years of travel restrictions due to the pandemic.
The campaign is being promoted digitally through four videos that highlight everything the Algarve has to offer, from hikes and bike tours among nature to challenging golf courses.
“Through this campaign, we want to emphasise some of the main assets that make the Algarve an appealing destination among those keen to resume travel, namely security, contact with nature and beautiful landscapes, good weather at this time of year and a wide range of outdoor activities,” said ATA president João Fernandes.
“The idea is to show potential visitors how the Algarve can provide memorable experiences in an authentic, welcoming and familiar environment,” he added.
Easter bookings
With travel restrictions eased and new air links to Faro Airport (among which are new routes to Germany, Czech Republic, UK and Norway), Fernandes is confident that “the campaign’s message will have a positive echo among tourists and act as an incentive to increase bookings in the Algarve from Easter onwards.”
The videos are being promoted in five languages on the main social networks (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Tik Tok) as well as RTB displays and top search engines.
The campaign will be carried out throughout two months and aims to increase “visibility of the destination and attract bookings from 10 strategies markets: Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, France, Netherlands, Italy, UK and Switzerland”.
