A new campaign has been launched in the Spanish region of Andalusia to promote the Algarve as a New Year’s Eve holiday destination.
The promotional initiative by the Algarve’s tourism board (RTA) will be screened at movie theatres in Huelva and Seville while a radio spot will be played on the Audioemotion station. The campaign will also be advertised on the websites of several Andalusian publications such as Diário de Sevilha, Huelva Informácion and El Tiempo.
The Algarve will also be promoted on billboards along Huelva and Seville’s main access roads and on social networks such as Facebook and Instagram.
“The Algarve and Andalusia have a very strong historical bond. Our region is often chosen by Andalusian tourists for short trips,” explains RTA boss João Fernandes.
He added that the goal is to attract Andalusians by promoting the Algarve’s “culture, gastronomy and entertainment” as reasons to choose the region to enjoy a New Year’s getaway.
