TALKING EXCLUSIVELY to The Resident, José Dias, vice president of the Algarve Tourism Board, said: “Our hearts are with the family and particularly the parents of Madeleine.
“It is irrelevant at this time whether or not this will be bad for tourism in the Algarve. “Our main concern and that of all Portuguese people is the safe return of Madeleine. We are trying to do everything possible for this to happen.”
Poster campaign
The Resident has assisted the Algarve Tourism Board in the launch of a poster campaign to appeal for information regarding Madeleine’s disappearance. The Resident designed a poster with a photograph of Madeleine McCann, providing police contact numbers. Around 1,000 A3 posters have been distributed to petrol stations, hotels, supermarkets and tourism information points across the Algarve, as well as Faro Airport.
If you would like an A4 poster to put in your car, you can pick up a copy at The Resident offices at Rua Visconde de Lagoa, nº 2 and 3, Lagoa, or directly download the pdf document from: https://www.portugalresident.com/media/res/missing_mady_poster-[8757].pdf
