Fifty-year-old Maria Filomena Teixeira, who suffered grave injuries when the tornado on November 16 wrecked the caravan in which she was staying in Silves, has died in the Hospital do Barlavento in Portimão. She had suffered various internal abdominal injuries which requiredsurgery in the intensive care unit of Hospital de Faro before being transferred to Hospital do Barlavento.
Silves Mayor Rogério Pinto sent his condolences to the family in a press statement.
