Top student at ISSL

Arina Naumova, a Year 8 student at International School São Lourenço, achieved the highest mark (99%) in the whole of Portugal in her DELF Scolaire A2 examination.

The DELF examinations are official French language examinations from the French Ministry of Education. Arina received a special letter of commendation, a book prize and a scholarship for her next DELF examination.

The Head Teacher, Beverley Stevens, said she was “very proud” of Arina’s achievement, particularly in light of the fact that Arina speaks three other languages.

She also added that the school prides itself on encouraging all of its students to develop their foreign language skills with French, Portuguese, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Russian, English and Chinese being taught or examined at the school.
