Four beaches in the Lagos council have been awarded top prizes for their water quality.
Portuguese environmental association Quercus distinguished Camilo, D. Ana, Luz and Meia Praia with the Gold Quality Beaches 2011 award after sea water analyses carried out since 2006 showed the water to be of “good” (from 2006 to 2009) and “excellent” (2010) quality for bathers.
