easyJet, Portugal’s second largest airline, has received two awards for its performance at Lisbon Airport in 2011.
The airline was awarded the Passenger Growth Prize for increasing its passenger numbers by 14% and number of movements by 9% on the previous year, and the Passenger Company of the Year Prize for obtaining the best results in all categories.
Javier Gándara, Iberian director for easyJet, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded such prestigious prizes, which are a boost to help us achieve even better results.
“easyJet recognises the good work it has been developing and the efforts put into improving the quality of its flights.”
The prize-giving ceremony was presided over by the president of ANA Aeroportos de Portugal, Guilhermino Rodrigues, and attended by more than 100 people.
