Tivoli hotels to reopen in June with ‘Safe & Clean’ seal

The Tivoli group has announced that it is preparing to gradually reopen its hotels in Portugal starting in June.

Each of the group’s hotels will be reopening with the ‘Safe & Clean’ seal awarded by national tourism authority Turismo de Portugal to establishments that respect and follow Covid-19 prevention guidelines.

The hotels that have received the seal are Tivoli Marina Vilamoura, Tivoli Carvoeiro, Tivoli Marina Portimão, Tivoli Lagos, Tivoli Évora Ecoresort, Tivoli Avenida Liberdade, Tivoli Oriente, Tivoli Sintra, Tivoli Palácio de Seteais and Tivoli Coimbra.

Says the group, each hotel has someone in charge of ensuring guidelines are followed. These include even more demanding cleaning standards and the use of specific disinfectants against Covid-19 in all the hotels’ public areas, including lobbies, restaurants and pools, as well as in guests’ rooms.

“Receiving this seal from Turismo de Portugal is an important step towards preparing our hotels to confidently welcome guests again and strengthens our already strict hygiene and safety protocols,” said Adriana Jacinto, the group’s head of operational excellence in Portugal.

Meanwhile, Tivoli Marina Vilamoura and Tivoli Carvoeiro will hold a live rooftop event this Sunday (May 24) which will begin the countdown to the reopening of both hotels on June 8 and 15, respectively.

The ‘Live on the Bright Side’ event will be streamed live on both hotels’ Instagram pages between 7pm and 8pm and will feature a live set by DJ Dhanny and Mr. SaxC as well as the “contagious energy” of the Daddy Jack Band.
