Delicious food paired with some of the best wines in the Algarve and Portugal – this is the motto for a series of wine-pairing dinners which will take place in the coming weeks at Tivoli Carvoeiro’s The One restaurant.
The first dinner will be held this Friday (September 25) and will feature the wines of Alcantarilha-based winery Quinta João Clara.
A week later on October 2, the guest of honour will be Quinta do Barranco Longo winery, located in the heart of the Algarve in Algoz.
The wine-pairing dinners will come to a close on October 9 and will shine the spotlight on the wines produced at Quinta de Soalheiro in Melgaço in the north of Portugal.
The wine-pairing process will be in the hands of the winemakers as well as The One’s own sommelier Francisco Meira.
All dinners will begin with a welcome drink at 7pm. Price is €50 per person (drinks included).
“Since it opened in 2017 at Tivoli Carvoeiro, The One has boasted an original wine list which pays tribute to Portuguese wines and focuses particularly on those made in the Algarve,” the restaurant says, adding that its wine list received the “Award of Excellence” in July by prestigious American magazine Wine Spectator.
