THE ALGARVEANS’ autumn production, to be staged in November, is a play called Holiday Snap and is all about timeshare in Portugal. It promises to be hysterically funny and one that many can relate to.
Characters needed are varied, ranging from a pompous naval officer to a pretty girl on stilettos, with all kinds of odd characters in-between both large and small. Even if you have never acted before, don’t worry. You can watch from the sidelines and shift scenery, help to paint doors and windows or sew costumes, help apply makeup or sell tickets and programmes. There are jobs for all talents and lots of new friends to be made.
The Algarveans will be holding open auditions on Monday, June 13 at 7.30pm, in Mariners Bar in Rua Santa Isabel, Portimão. Even if you don’t want a part, come along and meet the ones who do. It will all be great fun and – who knows? – you might even change your mind and become a member. Do you want to know more? Then ring Jackie Major on 282 687 410.
