A total of 68,761 people visited Portimão museum in 2016 – the highest figure since it opened in 2008. This puts it among the 10 most visited museums in Portugal.
Offering a glimpse into the history of the area’s fish canning industry, the museum is open Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 6pm and on Tuesday from 2.30pm to 6pm.
