Olhanense dropped a further two points in their quest to gain promotion from the Campeonato de Portugal, as they came from behind to draw 1-1 at sixth place Loures.
Despite having more of the possession, the visitors found themselves a goal down midway through the first half when Lenno ghosted past a static Olhanense defence to slot home past Rodrigo.
Loures looked the more confident as the teams returned after the interval with Lenno and Hélio Vaz giving the Olhanense defence several hairy moments. The visitors finally got back into the game when João Vasco levelled from the penalty spot in the 64th minute.
The league’s top scorers Hassan (9) and Sapara (8) were nullified by a resolute home defence and both sides had to settle for a share of the spoils. With Real SC winning 4-0 at Sintra, only goal difference separates the top two.
Olhanense face another difficult game on Sunday as they travel to Pinhal Novo to play third place Pinhalnovense who, like Olhanense, have only lost one league game this season.
