A tiger attacked its trainer during a performance in Suárez Circus in the city of Etchojoa Suárez, Mexico. The man was taken to hospital alive but died from shock and loss of blood.
The tragedy happened as the trainer, Alexander Crispin, aged 35, was presenting animals to the crowd and the Bengal tiger suddenly struck out with its claws, fatally wounding the trainer in the neck.
The audience panicked and many spectators ran outside. One spectator captured the frightening episode on his camera.
