Thriller horror for Jackson

Michael Jackson has found himself in hot water again as John Landis, the director behind the groundbreaking Thriller video, has filed proceedings against him, demanding 50 per cent of the profits from the classic music video.

Landis is claiming the troubled singer owes him royalties that have been unpaid for the past four years and is seeking compensation.

The news comes as Broadway producer James Nederlander confirmed his purchase to the stage rights of Thriller – the musical.

The show is set to include hits from the Thriller and Off the Wall albums but as yet no date has been set as to when it will open.
